Alteration of two skirts

A client had two skirts which were too big, and needed 1-2 inches taking in on the waist.

The Green print skirt already had darts, so it was straight forward to reduce the size by adjusting these.

The white print skirt had a yoke around the waist, with no darts, and whilst a side seam alteration was possible it would have taken longer and cost the client more. So I created two darts at the back in line with the skirt seam and keeping the check design in-line. I think the result is a nearly invisible dart.
