Eyelet Curtain shortening

A large pair of full length, lined wool curtains which needed 50cm removing after the customer had moved, so they would fit her new room. Lovely texture to the fabric, if maybe a little warm as I was working on these during the June 26 heatwave (36-37 degrees).

The mitred corners were finished by hand, as was the main curtain hem, so I could sit in our dining room to do them (the studio upstairs was just too hot to work in). The lining was machine sewn and then tacked in on the edges to finish.
