Green Vest Top

A returning customer had this lovely scrappy top in a stretch rib material, finished with a decorative edge around the edges of the armholes, neck and straps.

The straps were too loose, and given three options they opted for a straight forward shortening (cut and restitch), rather than remove the entire edge. After cutting the construction of the straps was actually more complex than first thought, with a braid inserted to strengthen the stretch material, and this braid is where the decorative edging was supported. So as a result the finishing is all done by hand, using a combination of ladder and blanket stitch in a matching green, then again in white to seal off the decorative stitching.
