Mix of Alterations and Repairs

Ahead of us going away to France for a few days in early July, I spent a couple of days working on a few alterations and repairs of our clothes, catching up you might say on things that have been waiting too long.

There were three pairs of my husbands trousers, which I am embarrassed to say were missing buttons, and on one of these the fabric had torn with the button, so a little patching was needed first.

Plus two dresses of mine which I wanted to change by removing a worn and loose button cuff (replacing with an elastic one) and removing the ruffle from the shoulders of an otherwise perfect summer dress.

There are still more things waiting to be looked at, but I prioritised these summery items until I have more time to look at the rest.
