Work Bag Zipper Repair
A client asked me to see if I could fix the zip on their work bag - which had become frayed at one end and separated.
It is possible to fix a zip, rather than replace it (which would take a lot longer to remove and stitch back in), plus it's much more sustainable to repair than replace the zip or the bag.
The zip was working again within a couple of minutes, but the frayed end needed stitching in and a new zipper end creating. I used some red braid (which matches the details on the bag) to create the stopper and stitched in by hand, since the material was quite a thick nylon.
